Indraprastha Institute of Medical Sciences is not just a name, it is a vision to carry forward a legacy that began in 2003, when Dr. A. S. Rana started nurturing the lives of students with shaping their future by imbibing quality education and crafting the futures of over 20000 students and still counting.
Two decades later, the same commitment has been brought into reality with the envisioned opening of our 650 bedded hospital on the main GT Road with perfect accessibility to the city of Panipat and near around suburban areas, with the aim of developing the best medical college in north of India.

Realizing that a healthy and learning society can only progress, Dr A. S. Rana, Chairman, Indraprastha Global Education & Research Foundation(IGERF) started preventive healthcare about two decades ago. Indraprastha Group has initiated multiple awareness & preventive health-care programmes engaging 7,500 students, 15,000 parents, and 30,000 grandparents, impacting over 1,00000 extended family members. Through its educational institutions, the Group has been consistently organizing dental and eye check-ups, general health check-ups, blood donation camps, and health workshops.
It is this sensitivity towards children and the community at large, coupled with the zeal to nurture imagination and promote fitness among the nation’s youth, that drives the Group’s initiatives.

Healthcare, for Indraprastha, goes far beyond hospital walls. During the Covid-19 crisis, when the entire nation was grappling with uncertainty, the Indraprastha Group under the leadership of Dr. A. S. Rana supported the Govt. of Delhi-NCT to initiate free medical and diagnostic services for the community. Rising to the occasion, Dr. Rana personally donated more than 700 PPE kits, ensuring the safety of frontline healthcare professionals while safeguarding patients during the pandemic.
The Group’s commitment to community care is not limited to emergencies. It has consistently reached out through free health check-up camps in over 150 CGHS societies, benefitting more than 70,000 residents, as well as large-scale blood donation drives and other wellness initiatives.

Dr. Attar Singh Rana – A Visionary Transforming Healthcare and Education
From a single institution with 200 students, Dr. A. S. Rana architected an internationally acclaimed educational empire that now shapes over 7,000 young minds, by establishing & growing the very prestigious Indraprastha Group of Schools. His schools have redefined holistic education, earning unparalleled global recognition, including a unique congratulatory letter from Queen Elizabeth II. With the aim to scaling and developing a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem from pioneering diagnostics to multi-super-specialty hospitals, Dr. A. S. Rana stands as a towering figure in the landscape of Indian healthcare, blending visionary leadership with a humanitarian spirit. With a singular mission—to make world-class healthcare and education accessible to all, Dr. Rana played a pivotal role in establishing and steering IPIMS Hospital, New Delhi—a 500-bedded multi-specialty hospital, now regarded as one of the finest in the capital for patient care, advanced medical services, and compassionate outreach. His pioneering ventures, Indraprastha Diagnostics and Dr. Gulati Imaging Institute, have set benchmarks in diagnostic excellence, serving over 1.5 lakh patients with cutting-edge technology and trust. During the COVID-19 crisis, his leadership shone as he initiated free diagnostic & healthcare services to support the Govt. Dr. P. Prasannaraj
MBBS, MD (Community Medicine, AIIMS New Delhi)
Dr. P. Prasannaraj is a Community Medicine specialist with over 40 years of experience across teaching, research, community health projects and national health administration. He rose from Assistant Professor to Professor & HOD of Community Medicine at JSS Medical College, Mysore, and later served the Medical Council of India as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary.
His work includes a leprosy elimination project across 250 villages of Mysore District, a pioneering Mass Measles Immunization pilot project, and a WHO consultancy evaluating the Guinea Worm Eradication Programme in Gujarat. He holds additional qualifications in health and family welfare management from IIM Bangalore and the National Board of Examinations, and has been an examiner for Mysore, Bangalore, Madras and Andhra Universities.
Fluent in seven languages, Dr. Prasannaraj combines public health vision with academic leadership, guiding students and institutions towards compassionate, community-focused healthcare.
Prof. (Dr.) G.N. Lone
MBBS, MS (General Surgery), M.Ch (CVTS), FIACS
Prof. (Dr.) G.N. Lone is a senior cardiac surgeon with more than 28 years of teaching experience. A former Professor and Head of the Department of CVTS at SKIMS, Srinagar for over 10 years, he is currently a Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and DNB Guide at the National Heart Institute, New Delhi, and previously served as Associate Director, Cardiac Surgery at PSRI Hospital, Saket.
He has guided 18 M.Ch (CVTS) and 8 MS students, serves as an examiner for M.Ch CVTS at PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS New Delhi and SGPGI Lucknow, and has over 100 national and international publications. At SKIMS he established several first-in-region programmes in CABG, endovascular aortic repair, RF ablation, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and complex congenital cardiac surgery, and built a 10-bed Cardiac ICCU with modern equipment.
Fellow of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons and an invited guest speaker at world congresses, Prof. Lone brings clinical depth and administrative experience to hospital leadership.
Dr. Sunder Singh Dogra
MBBS, MS (ENT – Head & Neck Surgery)
Dr. Sunder Singh Dogra is a senior ENT surgeon, academician and medical administrator with about 30 years of experience in teaching, clinical service, institutional leadership and medical education. He progressed from Junior Resident at IGMC Shimla to Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor/HOD of ENT at Dr. RPGMC Tanda and Dr. RKGMC Hamirpur.
He later served as Principal of Pt. JLN Government Medical College, Chamba, as OSD in the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh, and as OSD-cum-Officiating Principal at Dr. Y.S.P.G.M.C. Nahan, retiring on 30 September 2025. A former Surgeon Lieutenant Commander in the Indian Navy, he has been a Chief NMC/MCI Inspector since 2016 and an advisor to State and Central Public Service Commissions since 2015.
With 22 publications (12 national and 10 international), Dr. Dogra's service record has been certified as very good by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh.
Dr. Hari Om Gupta
Ph.D. (Healthcare Management), MBA (Hospital & Material Management)
Dr. Hari Om Gupta is a healthcare executive with more than 26 years of progressive leadership in medical colleges, teaching hospitals and multi-specialty hospitals across India. Since January 2025 he has served as Director of Indraprastha Institute of Medical Sciences, Panipat, leading governance, NMC compliance, budgeting, infrastructure expansion, patient safety and accreditation.
His earlier roles include CEO of MM Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Ambala; Chief General Manager (Administration) at Adesh Medical College & Hospital; General Manager at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research; and administrative positions at Gian Sagar Medical College, Baba Jaswant Singh Dental College, Fortis Hospital Mohali and Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
An expert in hospital commissioning, NMC and NABH compliance, procurement, budgeting and policy formulation, Dr. Gupta is committed to building world-class healthcare institutions with operational excellence and patient-centred care.
